Shopify themes that convert.

We build custom Online Store 2.0 themes in Liquid — flexible sections and blocks your team edits without touching code, JSON templates, and metaobject-driven content. The result loads in under two seconds, passes Core Web Vitals, and is built around the PDP and cart where revenue actually happens.

Built for people like you.

If any of these sound familiar, you are in the right place.

DTC brands outgrowing a paid theme that's slow and impossible to edit
Founders migrating to OS 2.0 who want metafields and JSON templates done right
Merchants expanding into multiple currencies and markets
Brands whose conversion is leaking on the product page and in cart
What’s included

Everything you need, nothing you don’t.

A focused build with the capabilities that actually move the needle — shipped production-ready.

Editable Sections

Section and block architecture your team rearranges and edits in the theme editor, no code.

Core Web Vitals

Lazy-loaded images, deferred scripts, and lean Liquid to keep LCP under two seconds.

PDP & Cart Built to Convert

Variant logic, sticky add-to-cart, AJAX cart, and upsell slots that don't slow the page.

Metaobjects & Metafields

Structured content for specs, swatches, and lookbooks editors update without a developer.

Multi-Currency & Markets

Shopify Markets-aware theme with localized pricing, language, and currency switching.

Accessibility

Keyboard navigation, focus states, semantic markup, and contrast that meets WCAG 2.1 AA.

How it works

A clear path from brief to launch.

The same calm, structured process behind every Appaza project — no agency theatre, just steady momentum.

01

Audit

We review your current theme, Lighthouse scores, and analytics to find what's slow and where the PDP and cart lose sales.

02

Design

We design the storefront in Figma — homepage, collection, PDP, cart — and map which content becomes sections, metafields, and metaobjects.

03

Build

We build in Liquid and OS 2.0 with Tailwind, version it in Git, and develop against a dev theme using Shopify CLI and Theme Check.

04

Launch

We QA across devices, validate Web Vitals, publish, and hand over with a Loom walkthrough so your team can edit confidently.

Tech stack

Built on tools that last.

We choose proven, maintainable technology — so your project stays fast, secure and easy to extend for years, not months.

FAQ

Good questions, straight answers.

The things founders usually ask before starting.

Will my team be able to edit the site without a developer? +
Yes. We build content as sections, blocks, and metaobjects exposed in the theme editor, so layout, copy, images, and product content are all editable without code. We also send a short guide and a walkthrough video.
Can you make my current theme faster instead of rebuilding it? +
Often, yes. If your theme is reasonably structured we can cut render-blocking scripts, fix image loading, and trim heavy apps to get under two seconds. If it's a bloated paid theme, a clean OS 2.0 rebuild is usually cheaper than fighting it long-term. We tell you which after the audit.
Do you build with Liquid or Hydrogen? +
Most stores should stay on Liquid and OS 2.0 — it's faster to ship, easier for your team to edit, and works with the full app ecosystem. Hydrogen makes sense for headless builds with custom requirements; we'll recommend it only when it genuinely pays off.
Will the new theme break my existing apps? +
We audit your installed apps first. OS 2.0 app blocks let most apps drop into the new theme cleanly. For older apps that inject script tags we test each one and flag anything that needs updating or replacing before launch.
How long does a custom theme take? +
You'll see a first reviewable build in about two weeks. A full custom theme typically runs four to six weeks depending on page count, metaobject complexity, and how many markets and currencies you support.
